    Trade fours

    by AnTs » Mon Jun 26, 2017 3:00 pm

This is a version of a II V I chord progression which I use for practicing trade fours.
    Trade fours (drums random 32)
I "Randomized" only the drums and muted the other instruments every second 4-bar. I left the default comping for my solo for 4 bars (it is enough for now...) and for the next 4 bars the drums might play a polyrhythm or not...so, I have to keep track of the beat...! That's great practice! Especially in the case of trading fours with a drummer with a very complex playing.

In this track, I "Randomized All"!
    Trade fours (all random 32)
This means that while I play each 4-bar solo the app generates different polyrhythms for each instrument. Also the 4-bar solo drums is still in random mode. I try to focus on interacting with the rhythm section. That's still quite hard for me but it is fun! Stay calm and keep practicing...
