Is there a link for more tunes?

    by Ksedars » Mon Aug 21, 2017 3:34 am

Hi, new user...love the app so far. It looks like there is not a way to create a new tune, just a rhythm editor, correct? I wondered if there are more tunes available than those that show up on the list...sorry if this is a dumb question. Thanks in advance!

Hey Ksedars! Glad you like it!
You can't add new songs or exercises to the library in this version of the app. The songs are made by transcribing the original songs (check out for example Cantaloupe island or Giant steps) so the sound can be as close as possible to each song. It's a "handmade" app! Apart from this, there is the polyrhythmic part of the app, which is the most important here. For each song, we choose the polyrhythmic patterns, basslines and piano comping that sound well when you mix all this stuff together (like for example in the Randomize all function). This is necessary so you can practice polyrhythms in the right context.

Understood...I noticed that the arrangements were very much like the recorded versions of the tunes, which is very nice. Will you be adding more tunes in the future? Also, will the ability to edit or create be part of the app down the road?

    Thanks!

Song creation would certainly be the direction that would give me the tools to use this app more often.

Hi guys, thank you for your suggestions.
We are planning to add new songs very soon and we will keep doing it.
The song creation feature requires an algorithm function so the app can generate music when you add chords, tempo, time signature, etc... This, of course, will be a big future upgrade of the app. We are working on it so the algorithm can create music using all this polyrhythmic stuff and making it as close as possible to the real thing. :D

I just got the app. I am disappointed in how few songs it has. It is certainly not a replacement for iReal pro. What I have played with so far is impressive though. I played along with Blue Bossa and the sound quality was very good. More songs please.
